Frederick Catherwood and Maya civilization

Frederick Catherwood (27 February 1799 – 27 September 1854) was an English artist and architect who traveled to Mesoamerica with John Lloyd Stephens and did very detailed drawings of Maya ruins. Izamal is an important Mayan archaeological site situated in Mexico in Yucatan. Copan is situated in Honduras, the place was the capital of an important kingdom between the 5th and 9th centuries.
